This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Phew. What a year. My art has mostly taken a back seat this year to work as I've thrown most of my energy into it. Personal creative exploits have been mostly in the background - relegated to the realm of therapeutic downtime and sanity reclamation.
My aspirations for 2013 would seem reasonably simple - to remain happy and healthy; to achieve change and to give more time to family and friends (often casualties of my way of being in this mad world). Oh yes, and to draw and paint a little more. The thing I should do more is read, but I seem to have a pathological resistance to doing so even though I actually like it and know the knowledge I gain will stimulate my creativity. Plenty of subconscious material behind that revelation for future analysis!
If you are one who believes in reincarnation, then you may also hold the belief that each time we return to the world we return with a purpose; to learn something we failed to grasp and assimilate into our being in our past lives - steps on the pathway to ascension. The seventh son of a seventh son once told me I needed to let go of my inhibitions - good advice then and still; even if challenging to action. In the realm of work I have no trouble, but when it comes to matters social and its intersection with creativity I seem a different being - not a risk taker; often stuck, but nonetheless wanting to belong. Someone slap around this ego please.
Now you have a little more context in which to view my art.
Lastly, I present to you some of the art here on DA that has captured my imagination in recent months. Enjoy and may 2013 be one of personal growth and achievement for all.

I started drawing in 2008 as a creative release from my job. Eventually I came to realise that the creative spark behind the endless doodles in my notebook needed to be explored more deeply than was ever possible in the fleeting moments of artisitic expression I'd managed to that point. I have no idea where this creative journey is taking me, except to say I am drawn to detail and like images that connect in some way with spirit and soul. My usual approach is to allow each drawing to evolve without great forethought as to the final image, so that the source of my art lies in that transitional place between the unconscious and conscious minds.
One of the main themes of my drawing is "origin". The Origin series speaks to the relationship between the living form and the spiritual realm. These pieces are an expression of the link between the cellular and spiritual, calling upon the theme of sacred geometry. They make the statement that the biological and spiritual are intrinsically linked and inseparable.
You'll see too that sometimes I dabble in poetry - usually reflections on the human condition. My method here is to fix on an idea, and as with my drawing, follow it to see where it goes, but in the written form mostly following rhyme as the pattern that guides.
